An active shooter can strike any place, at any time. They've struck restaurants, post offices, schools, theaters shopping malls, concerts, and just about any place you can imagine.
Their methods of operation are quite simple - in a nutshell, the active shooter seems to trap as many victims as possible in a contained ares, and area that's guaranteed to hold unarmed victims. The shooter isn't looking for ransom, or hostages, he's looking for a high body count and nothing more. And this is what makes these types of events so absolutely horrific...
